Trikone Northwest's Privacy Policy
Trikone Northwest respects your privacy. We are aware that many people who
visit our website are concerned about their privacy online. We do our
best to protect the privacy of all of our users.
Information that we collect:
We do not require you to register before using the wesite and we do not
collect personal information from you except the following.
Our website automatically receives and records information on our
server logs from your browser, including your IP address. (When your
web browser requests a web page from trikone-nw.org, your browser
automatically gives Trikone Northwesy the address where the web server
should send the information; this is called your
computer's "IP address".) The only people with access to this information are our website administrators and our Internet Service Provider
(hostway.com). We will not share
this information with any other party.
Protecting your information:
We use the information you provide only to deliver services
that you request. If you provide us with your contact information,
we may use it to infrequently
get in touch with you with important information or requests. We do
not share your personal information with ANYONE. The only exception
to this rule is: we respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal
process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend
against legal claims. We believe that it is necessary in such
situations to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or
take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations
involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or
as otherwise required by law.
Cookies:
Trikone Northwest currently does not set cookies on your computer. We
may change this policy in the future if we decide to enable
interactive features on our website. Even then, you will be provided
the option to explicitly allow or disallow those features. (A cookie
is a small amount of data, that is sent to your browser from a web
site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. A web site
can then later access the cookies it has already sent to you.)
Photos on the web:
We have put together photos from our events for our website to provide
visitors to the site with a glimpse into the various activities and
people associated with Trikone Northwest. We always
take permission from all people in a photo before approving it for
placement on our website. The people in these photos represent the
entire range of LGBTQ people and straight and non-South Asian allies
that form the Trikone-NW community.
Trikone Northwest events are safe spaces where members of the Trikone
Northwest community should feel welcome. To ensure this, no photos are placed
on the website unless all of the people in the photo
give permission. People who are concerned about this issue should
rest assured that their pictures will not appear on our website unless
they have provided prior permission. Moreover, if you give us
permission, but change your mind later on and would like to have your
picture removed, simply send us e-mail at
webmaster@trikone-nw.org.
Changes to this Privacy Policy:
Trikone Northwest may update this policy. We will notify you about significant
changes in the way we treat personal information by sending you an e-mail if
we have one for you or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
